This is goodbye, gravity

So, if the blog is a little quiet the next couple days (or if I am very obviously phoning it in), that's because my days at work are getting even longer this week/weekend - in a good way. I'll be working at the 4th Annual Lucky Shops repping the designer t-shirts we've been selling at the office. Swing by if you're one of the few people out there reading this blog who also have money to spend on awesome deals on clothes!

I really feel like I'm settling in, even though I'm still a temp. I don't think many people there really view me as a temp, and I'm taking on more projects as older ones are winding down. I came up with a wicked idea at work today to promote a new contest/sweepstakes that hasn't been gaining speed fast enough, and it was forwarded on to the EIC... I'm really hoping that, even with all the structural changes going on at the Company, they'll find permanent room for me there when the dust settles.

Of course, the risk inherent in doing well at a temp job is that I tend to get settled and stop looking for other work - which means that I get screwed when it eventually and inevitably ends abruptly. That's what I did at my last position, and it really left me in a financial lurch that I'm still getting out of. But maybe, just maybe this time it'll work out. My fingers are getting tired of staying crossed.
